What’s included
- Domestic household residual waste from the registered property only — no trade, business, landlord, project, renovation or paid-work waste.
- One standard 180L allowance of bagged black residual waste per scheduled collection — one allowance maximum, even if your property has more than one council bin.
- All waste bagged and tied. Loose waste is not part of the service.
- The bin lid must shut fully and the presented waste must stay within the standard 180L-equivalent allowance.
- If the council has issued you an exceptional larger 240L bin, only the standard 180L-equivalent allowance is included; additional bagged waste is excess.
- The bin must be at the property’s front boundary or normal council collection point, directly accessible from the road or pavement — Friday-evening routes by 6pm Friday, Saturday routes by 6am Saturday.

Side waste and extra bags
Side waste and extra bags aren’t included. If the presented waste exceeds 180L-equivalent or the lid won’t shut, we leave enough clearly excess bagged waste to bring it within the allowance and make the bin safely closable, then empty it if safe. We can take up to 4 extra standard 60L tied bags (or equivalent) at £10 each — only after we contact you on the day and you pay before removal. If you don’t respond or pay, we leave them and never invoice later. More than 4 needs a separate one-off clearance booking.
If something isn’t acceptable
- If a prohibited item can be safely separated, we leave it and collect the rest.
- If prohibited waste is concealed or mixed so it can’t safely be separated, we may refuse the affected bag or bin.
- If the bin is too heavy to handle safely, we take only what can be handled safely.
- Split or leaking bags are collected where safe; we refuse only for genuine hygiene or safety reasons.
- A bin that isn’t presented, is blocked, or is in the wrong place is a missed collection on your side and is forfeited.
- We may record notes and photos as evidence. Routine photos are kept for 90 days unless needed longer for legal or accountability reasons.
Repeated misuse
