keep it simple
What we collect — and what we don’t
Ordinary household residual waste only. The kind of thing that goes in your black bin.
We collect
- Domestic household residual (black-bin) rubbish from the registered property only
- One standard 180L allowance of bagged black residual waste per scheduled collection
- All waste bagged — no loose waste
- Bin lid fully shut — waste above the 180L-equivalent allowance is excess
Present your subscribed council black bin at the property’s front boundary or normal council collection point, directly accessible from the road or pavement. One standard allowance only, even if you have more than one council bin. If the council has issued you an exceptional larger 240L bin, only the standard 180L-equivalent allowance is included; additional bagged waste is excess.
We can’t collect
- Liquids of any kind
- Asbestos
- Hazardous or chemical waste
- Paint, oil, fuels or solvents
- Batteries
- Electricals (WEEE), including vapes
- Gas cylinders, pressurised or explosive items
- Sharps or loose glass
- Medicines, clinical or infectious waste
- Plasterboard, rubble, bricks, concrete, tiles, soil or stones
- Construction, renovation or trade waste
- Garden waste
- Hot ash or burning material
- Anything unsafe or unlawful
If a prohibited item can be safely separated we leave it and take the rest. Side waste and extra bags aren’t included — up to 4 extra 60L bags can be taken at £10 each, only if we reach you on the day and you pay first.
